Physiotherapist
Chris has over 25 years post graduate physiotherapy experience, following qualification from Brighton University in 1993.
Chris spent 12 years working within the NHS, based at East Surrey, Horsham, Crawley, and Caterham Dene hospitals. His last post in the NHS was as an Extended Scope Practitioner, specialising in knee injuries.
Chris has also previously worked in musculoskeletal specialty, privately, at North Downs Hospital in Caterham, and opened his own clinic at Therapies in Sanderstead, in 2002, before founding Sanderstead Physiotherapy at its current location in 2006.
Chris has continued to develop his physiotherapy skills, and completed formal qualifications at post graduate level, obtaining post graduate diplomas in Orthopaedic Medicine, Sports Physiotherapy and Injection Therapy.
In addition to formal qualifications, Chris completes continuing professional development on an ongoing basis to keep abreast of current evidence based practice. Recent courses include management of shoulder injuries, hip arthroscopy and impingement, anterior knee pain, ankle injuries and back pain. Chris has a wide network of orthopaedic consultants and colleagues (physios, osteopaths, podiatrists) to consult should you need anything more than physiotherapy.
Away from work, Chris is keen on rugby, having been a player, physio, coach, parent and latterly a referee. He is also a keen runner (at times), and dabbles in amateur dramatics.
